Dock
The photos below are for pulling out the dock from the lake. It can be done with 1 person, but will be much easier with 2 people.
For putting in the dock, it's basically the same steps in reverse, but much easier because gravity is working for you. 1 person can usually manage putting in the dock.
Grab the red winch from black dock box and insert into rail
2. Grab the haul strap and thread underneath the dock. Pull steel cable out and connect hook to hauler strap.
3. Winch the dock up the ramp. The wheels will catch when it hits the wood platform and the dock corners may catch. This is where it's easier to have a second person to lift on the catches.
4. Winch most the way up, stop, lock the winch, and lift the first dock section off the other section. Tip the first dock section on its side. A second person really helps here. Once the first section tipped on its side, pull the cable down to the second section, attach the haul strap, and winch it up.
5. Once the second section is pulled out of the water, place small plywood cuts into the cracks of the wood platform to catch the wheels from rolling backward.

Boat Lift

The boat lift is much more difficult to pull in and out than the dock. Only consider doing it if you plan on being at the cabin all or most of the summer. Even then you might just use the dock only, but then you'd want to use a boat cover, which we don't have so you'd have to buy one.
